Accomodation

When moving to London (or moving out of halls), finding accomodation can be difficult.

For BA1s and MAs you have the option of using our student halls or one of the companies we work with that provide student accomodation.

Courtauld Housing Group

The Courtauld Housing Group was set up for Courtauld students to share accomodation that they had to rent, to search for available accomodation and to find new flatmates to move in with.

Finding accomodation in London

A couple of useful third party websites and groups for looking for accommodation in London.

Open Rent

OpenRent is an online platform that only lists properties with no agency fees or hidden costs. Tenants deal directly with landlords and all the usual admin is made ridiculously easy by their online system. Contract signing is free. Deposit processing is free and OpenRent make sure your deposit is protected. No renewal, key handling, or other hidden charges!
With 2000 live properties in London right now, check it out to find cheap and agency fee free properties!

UoL Housing Services

This is for students specifically of the University of London who wish to stay in privately rented housing. The site includes a notice board called ‘Find a Flatmate.’

London Student Housing Guide

This is for all students studying in London (including non-University of London students) who are looking for accommodation in the private sector. This site includes information about costs and advice about renting.

Goodenough College

Postgraduate students can apply for single, couples’ and family accommodation at Goodenough College. The application procedure and allocation is managed by the college. For further information and an application form, please visit Goodenough College’s website.

South East Housemates Co-op

This is a Facebook page specifially dealing with flats, houses and rooms in the South East London area. Housing in South London is often cheaper than in North, Central or East London. Many of the spaces available on this page are in the Peckham area where many Courtauld Students choose to live.

Hackney Wick Spaces

This Facebook page advertises rooms, flats and spaces in the Hackney Wick area which is in East London. Prices here can be quite expensive, but the area is very nice with a lot going on for students and artists.

East London Flatshare, Houseshare and Accommodation

Similarly, this Facebook group only advertises rooms, flats and houses in the East London area more generally.

London House/Flat/Spare Room to Rent

This Facebook page is where people advertise and ask for rooms, flats and houses across the London Area.

London Flat Share

Here is another Facebook group where you can search for and advertise rooms, flats and houses in the general London area.
